Virtual KIDS FISHING DERBY
Open to all kids 14 and under. The derby will run May 1st through May 31st. Trophies, and the award for catching “Duffy” will be given out in early June. Trophies will be awarded for largest fish caught by a boy and girl in each of 3 age classes (0-5; 6-9; 10-14) as well as the smallest fish caught be one boy and one girl and the overall largest fish caught.
Each young angler can submit up to 2 fish caught from the waters of the gun club pond. Fish will be stocked in both the upper and lower pond.
TO ENTER:
- Take a video if possible, of your child reeling the fish in (there will be a prize for the best video)
- Bring your fish up to the measuring board that is on the picnic table inside the tote and take a clear photo of the fish on the measuring board so that the head is touching, and BOTH the head and tail are clearly visible.
- Email your video and picture/s to petershamgunclubsecretary@gmail.com along with
- Child’s name
- Age
- Gender
- Date the fish was caught
- IF YOU CATCH DUFFY, “THE KING OF THE POND”, HE WILL HAVE A TAG NUMBER–EMAIL ME THE SAME INFO AS ABOVE BUT INCLUDE HIS TAG NUMBER. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MEASURE HIM, WE KNOW HE IS THE KING. EMAILING ME THE TAG NUMBER IS PROOF OF CATCH, AND FEEL FREE TO LET HIM GO SO THAT OTHERS HAVE A CHANCE TO CATCH HIM TOO! CATCH DUFFY AND WIN $100. “King of the pond” sponsored by the Putnam family.

PGC is pleased to host this very special event annually. We ask that you support the Club and our local Veterans on one of the rare days of the year that we respectfully ask that there be NO SHOOTING at the Club so that our Veterans can enjoy a quiet relaxing date of fishing at the Club.
